Feed a Community
The Emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has created unforeseen, brutal, economical hardship, especially as a result of the self-isolation requirement. This hardship is especially true for those communities experiencing poverty, particularly within the most populous city in one of the most populous countries in the world, Nigeria. Here, it is creating more devastating mayhem than the Coronavirus alone is causing. These people have little to no access to additional government benefits or systems to soften the hardship that this lockdown is causing; access to food and water has been stripped away due to the inability for these people to support themselves financially. Even from abroad and isolated in our homes, we can support those in most need by helping to feed 200 families in the community of Abule-Egba/Meiran, Nigeria for at least 1-2 days. Nothing is too small; help before the lockdown is over to reduce the number of those that might die due to starvation as a result of the COVID-19 closures. Thanks and God bless.
